The name of Mineralnye Vody is misleading: there are no medicinal springs here. But from here it is easy to get to other settlements of the Stavropol Territory, where medical and preventive procedures are put on stream. Mineral waters, thanks to the airport and train station, became the gates of the region.
In addition, there is something to see in terms of attractions. Several temples are historically linked. Natural objects, such as the Snake Mountain, will give an idea of the beauty of the region. The Museum of Aviation Technology and the Tersk Stud Stud Farm have a rich past. Their visit will be interesting for both children and adults.

What to see and where to go in Mineralnye Vody?
The most interesting and beautiful places for walking. Photos and a short description.
Train Station
The current building appeared at the station much later than the laying of the rails themselves - in 1955. The architectural style is baroque. The presence of numerous white columns gives the structure additional weight. There are quite spacious premises inside, including two waiting rooms. A figure of an eagle is installed in front of the facade. Some of the cladding details are worn out, so reconstruction is planned soon.
Eagle sculpture
Installed in front of the railway station building. It appeared in the last century. The eagle is considered the symbol of the city. He is also associated with the Caucasus. The mighty bird spreads its wings and presses the snake with its claws to a small embankment. Such sculptures are often found in the resorts of the region. The eagle symbolizes the victory of health over disease, the ability to heal with the help of local sources.
Tersk breeding stud farm
It can be found near Snake Mountain. The founder is Count Stroganov, who in the 80s of the XIX century brought Arab horses to the region for breeding. Later, the business fell into decay, but Budyonny's interest in the stud farm allowed the enterprise to revive. Raising horses for the army became the paramount task. Since the 70s of the last century, auction sales of breeding horses have been held here.
Museum of aviation technology
Located on the territory of an aircraft repair plant. Airplanes and helicopters of different models and years of production stand in the open air on special pedestals. The collection includes: Mi-8, Yak-40, Tu-154. Some have been restored and sparkle with fresh paint, while others seem to have just returned from a flight. Nearby there are information boards: here you can read about each exhibit.
Monument to General Ermolov
Opened in 2008 in the Nadezhda public garden. Local sculptor Myasnitsky was in charge of the project. The money for the bronze monument came from people from different parts of the country. It is believed that the general had a huge impact on the development of the Caucasus. The monument was erected on a three-meter pedestal. This made it possible to create a composition where Ermolov is represented by a guard who inspects and protects the area.
Cathedral of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin
Consecrated in 1997. The complex, in addition to the church itself, includes: a cell building, a wall with a holy gate and administrative buildings. The cathedral itself is nine-domed with a tiered bell tower. There are 8 bells installed on the belfry. The iconostasis is carved, the paintings of the interior interiors are made in a solid academic manner. The decor contains elements of ancient Russian architecture. The main relic is the relics of the Monk Theodosius of the Caucasus.
Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker
Built in 1900, destroyed in 1937. Thirteen years later, a new building was erected and consecrated. At that time it was called Pokrovskaya. The church is brick built, surrounded by a fence. Nearby there is a bell tower in three tiers. In 1997, she received a new name, which has been assigned to the temple to this day. This was due to the appearance in the city of the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. The main relic is a particle of the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos
Construction work was completed in 1900. Dedicated to the rescue of Emperor Alexander III and his family after a railway accident. It ceased to exist in 1936. In 2012, the restored church was consecrated. The new building is crowned with six domes and has a height of 32 meters. The bell tower is placed close to the temple. The interior paintings are in the canonical style. There are Sunday schools for children and adults.
Memorial "Fire of Eternal Glory"
The opening took place in 1976. The complex has 5 bas-reliefs. The first - "Motherland" - a symbol of mourning for those who went to the front. The second is dedicated to the defenders of the region. The third - to those who died in the occupation. The fourth tells the story of the Revenge reconnaissance group. And the fifth contains a story about the struggle of the inhabitants against the invaders. In the center there is an impressive bowl, in which an eternal flame burns.
Mountain Snake
It belongs to Pyatigorye, it is a natural monument. Height - 994 meters.
