There is just a huge number of amusement parks and attractions in the world, which, perhaps, cannot be counted. But you can definitely find one that is one and only one of its kind - this is Park Asterix!

About the park

Parc Asterix is a large theme park with a wide variety of attractions, which is located near Paris and looks like an American Disney. Paris, even before the construction of Asterix, had its own Disneyland, but the French firmly decided for themselves to build something of their own, and therefore soon erected this amazing structure with attractions and carousels.

Park Asterix was built on the theme of everyone's favorite movie and cartoon “Asterix and Obelix”. These two heroes are French, who play the role of Gauls in the film and animated film and are able to resist the huge army of the Roman Empire. In addition, they constantly find themselves in some kind of trouble and comic situations. It was these heroes, as well as the entire Gaul village, who became the protagonists of the entire amusement park.

Among the most popular attractions in the park are:

Gaul

There is a rock in the center of it, and Asterix himself sits at its top. The visitor gets into a small trailer and drives down the river, where there are various water effects, and at the end of the carousel visitors will have to descend from a slide 11 meters high! Only real brave men can handle this!

The Roman Empire

Here you can go down on an inflatable ring, also along the river. Each of the circles can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. There are a wide variety of bends here, but, despite this, the attraction is considered quite calm. The river pulls you smoothly downstream - nothing special and scary. Here you can go for a ride with the whole family.

Ancient Greece

This attraction is a huge slide, which can be safely called the largest and oldest among all the others in Europe, it is also called the thunder of Zeus. So, this attraction starts from a dizzying descent, which starts from the very top 30 meters high! Then you will rush down with a stone at a frantic (as for an attraction) speed of 80 km / h, and then rise again and again descend, with both double spirals and air coups.

Vikings

This ride will take you at a top speed of 75 km / h! You can visit both steep descents and ascents, but in addition, you have the opportunity to look at the world as if upside down, and this will be possible thanks to a small number of meter loops. At the same time, you can feel both fear and bliss, because most of this attraction passes over the lake. Pregnant women cannot visit this place, this is written on the sign at the entrance to the attraction.

Oxygerarium

This attraction is called the Oxidgerarium and resembles rafting. Here, in an inflatable circle, no more than 6 people can be accommodated, everyone rises to a height of 70 meters using a special escalator, and then descends down a mountain river. Here you can get a little wet, so before entering here you should not forget about it, it is better to take some kind of raincoat with you.

Opening hours of Park Asterix

The park is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm. The opening begins in spring, early April and lasts until October 31. The park is closed in May: 14, 15, 21, 22, 29, as well as June 4 and 5.
